COVID Update 26th October
26 Oct 2020
Dear Polo Community
Following today’s announcements POLO CLUBS in the Melbourne Metro area can begin playing NON-CONTACT (1.5m apart) practice chukkas from this Wednesday 28th October. This is the same as POLO CLUBS in regional Victoria can do now. The 25km radius rule still applies.
There is still a hard border between regional Victoria and Melbourne Metro which hopefully will come down from November 9th so no travelling to play between Metro and Regional. There is still NO date for the introduction of CONTACT POLO.
All POLO CLUBs please ensure your covid officer has your covid plan in place and registers all people including grooms that come and go to practice chukkas. Please ensure the physical distancing is maintained, masks are worn when you are off the ponies and that you are on the polo grounds for as shorter time as practical.
