Equine Emergency First Aid training - 4th February 2024

The VPA are proud to present our Equine Emergency and First Aid training clinic to be held at Werribee Park National Equestrian Centre on 4th February 2024.

The day will be split into two three hour sessions, am and pm. Each session can only host 20 participants so secure your place fast. This workshop is aimed at improving the knowledge and practical abilities of players, officials and grooms to assist with an injured horse at polo. It is the duty of every member to ensure they are responsible for the welfare of their ponies throughout the year.

Our host Dr Lizzie McCready will cover topics such as the management of acute limb fractures, head and eye injuries, equine restraint and the use of the horse ambulance.

The cost of participation is $35 per person.

I will schedule the draw on that weekend to ensure everyone can participate in either the am or pm session - so dont worry about your playing commitments.
