Welcome to the 2020 Melbourne City Polo Christmas Cup held at Werribee Park National Equestrian Centre on fields two and three on the 19th and 20th December 2020.
We welcome invites for 0 and 4 goal polo. Only team nominations with the exact or lower handicap will be accepted. Please note that C1 rules (effective 1st October 2020) regarding handicap limits on teams and individual players will be strictly adhered to. Please visit polorules.com for clarification.
Polo is now a contact sport. COVID protocols apply. Please supply your own whistle and shirt for umpiring duties. The shirt used for umpiring can be the standard black and white stripe, plain white or a hi viz vest can be worn.
This weekend we will be allowing you to ‘Opt out’ of goal judging duties. In order to opt out you must select this option on check out. For $100 you will be exempt from goal judging duties for the tournament. If you do not take this option and fail to turn up to your duty you will be fined $200 and not allowed to participate in Melbourne City Polo Club tournaments/chukkas until this has been paid. You may find someone to replace you but the onus will be on the listed goal judge to ensure this duty is completed.
We have organised the Draught Horse Bar serving complimentary tea coffee drinks Sponsored by Riverlands Polo Victoria and a complimentary BBQ on Sunday sponsored Bakers Bridge Polo.
Nominations will close strictly at 12 noon on Thursday 17th December. The draw will be posted on the VPA website on Thursday evening. Any issues with the portal please contact secretary@vicpolo.com.au
