Welcome to the Urquhart Cup Tournament 2023
Hexham Polo Club invite nominations for
Urquhart Cup - Open - 5 chukkas - Potential for some Friday games.
Palmer Cup - 6 Goal - 4 chukkas - Option to play Friday, please let me know if you can accomodate this with your entry. We have a large crowd on Friday at Chirnside looking forward to watching some competitive polo. If you love playing in front of a crowd and would love to mingle after we would love you to come and play early friday afternoon. Main game 2.30pm.
Merang Cup - 2 Goal - 4 chukkas
D Grade - Sub zero - 4 chukkas
Please note only nominations with full payment will be accepted. Chukkas are $40 per chukka for all grades. For Full MCPC members and first year MCPC members - chukkas are free.
Food and Drink will be available to purchase on both days.
There are trophies and prizes for all grades. Winning team prizes will be provided by Goodwood Park, a purpose built spelling farm for racehorses in Torquayhttps://www.gwpark.com.au/ Next year Goodwood Park will have their own polo field up and running so watch this space!
Racing Victoria have sponsored the best playing pony OTT for all grades (OTT only available for those ponies registered with OTT community). Jane Mann will be handing out the Hexham trophies on Sunday and Ted Mann will be judging our OTT pony prizes.
We are lucky enough to have commentary on Sunday with some very well regarded Hexham MC''s
Please make the effort to bring your own umpire gear if you are umpiring. It is expected that all professionals at least have their own gear. Some exciting news - The VPA has invested in highly acclaimed and respected umpire Bud Sorby to come and umpire for this tournament. Bud will umpire ALL four finals on the Sunday and various league games on the Saturday
Nominations will close on Wednesday 15th February at 4pm. There will be limited accomodation of time requests on the Saturday. Sundays Timetable will not allow for the provision of time requests.

Premium field side (Field 2) car parks can be purchased at the time of nomination. Please purchase GP admission for those people in your car parks who are not playing in the tournament.
