Join a dynamic and thriving community of polo enthusiasts at the Victorian Polo Association (VPA) in Werribee. We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Polo Manager to elevate the polo experience at our fields. If you have a passion for polo, strong organisational abilities, and a desire to drive excellence, this is the role for you.

Key Responsibilities:

• Management of Mid-Week Chukkas
  • Organize and oversee mid-week chukka sessions.
  • Coordinate commercial polo school bookings (if applicable), private chukkas, and academies.
• Weekend Tournament Management
  • Take charge of weekend polo tournaments.
  • Ensure tournaments meet VPA's high standards.
• Clubhouse Management
  • Maintain and enhance clubhouse facilities for members and guests.
• Field Oversight
  • Collaborate with the grounds team to ensure our playing fields are in top-notch condition.
• Marketing and Sponsorship Support
  • Assist in marketing and sponsorship efforts as directed by the VPA board.
  • Manage and update our social media presence.
  • Promote events, report scores, announce prize winners, and acknowledge sponsors.
• Improving Polo Standards
  • Play a key role in raising the polo standard within our club.
  • Secure sponsorships for tournament prizes.
  • Curate and present prizes to deserving recipients.
• Compliance and Reporting
  • Ensure all tournaments adhere to APF and VPA rules.
  • Report any incidents involving players, horses, or welfare promptly to the VPA Secretary.
  • Coordinate the presence of essential personnel such as ambulance and vet during events.
  • Report tournament trophy winners to the VPA Secretary.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in Polo tournament management.
• Level 2 First Aid preferred ( will be provided if not qualified)
