Dear Patrons and Players,
The Victorian Polo Association is delighted to invite you to our Annual Melbourne Polo Cup Tournament – a highlight of the season that coincides with one of the most exciting times in Melbourne, the Spring Racing Carnival and the world-famous Melbourne Cup.
This is a truly special time to visit Victoria. Alongside the thrill of top-class polo, players and supporters can immerse themselves in the energy of Melbourne – from world-renowned horse racing and fashion events, to exceptional restaurants, shopping, arts, and entertainment. With so much happening in and around the city, the tournament offers not just outstanding polo but also a chance to enjoy the very best of Melbourne’s culture and lifestyle.
The tournament will run from Wednesday 5th November to Saturday 15th November, concluding with a Finals Day celebration at Darriwill Polo Field, by kind permission of Sascha and Stirling McGregor. Matches will also be hosted at Werribee Park Equestrian Centre, Eynesbury Polo Club by kind permission of Ruki Baillieu, and Darriwill.
Tournament Grades:
- 10 Goal – 5 Chukkas – 5 Games
- 6 Goal – 4 Chukkas – 5 Games
- 2 Goal – 4 Chukkas – 4 Games
All Finals will be played at Darriwill on Saturday 15th November. A full game schedule will be shared following the close of nominations. Premium car parks and General admission ticketing options will be available for finals
Horse Accommodation:
Available at Werribee Park Equestrian Centre. Please advise horse numbers when nominating to: secretary@vicpolo.com.au.
Stable bookings must be made directly with the Werribee National Equestrian Centre Office on (03) 9741 7672.
(Please note: no player or groom accommodation is available.)
Important: Players must be fully affiliated with the Australian Polo Federation at the time of nomination, and team handicaps must comply with APF Rules.
