Yaloak Polo Invitational

Opening game of the day was a round robin won by Yaloak Green: William Fung, Charlie Blakeley, Tony Blakeley, Ian Church our in house friendly vet. MVP: Charlie Blakeley. OTT Pony, Nip in the Bud, By Sharkbite, O/O Dame Reviton, played by Jason Butt, owned by Inge Burke. Congratulations to the three teams, MVP and OTT winners.
Pacific Hydro, Peter Evans, George Deverill, Hector Worsley, Kelly Fernandez defeated Channell 9, 6.5 to 3. MVP George Deverill. OTT Pony Gypsy owned by Troy McBean, ridden by Kelly. Congratulations to those winners. Sad to see George and Hector leave us, George selected by the HPA to play in the USA then heading back to UK to prepare his horses for the upcoming season and Hector heading home to UK also to get his ponies ready for the season there. They will be missed.
Jockeys and Trainers then played chukka, some held a mallet for the very first time and were most impressive! Perhaps some may choose to change careers??
All Stars: Simon Wilde, Amy Johnston, Catriona Rountree, Greg Keyte defeated Jockeys: Daryll Cannon, Tom Ryan, Shane Jackson, Tomas Fernandez in a very close fought chukka. Simon Wilde was the MVP. Thank to all the players who gave up their time to attend and compete. We are very grateful.
The final game was a 12 goal game between OTT: Troy McBean, Juan Uranga, Tomas Fernandez, Greg Keyte defeated Colliers International: Ed Matthies, Corin Gibbs, Harry Muddle, Gillon McLachlan with OTT running out the winners in a very exciting close game 9 - 8. It was anyones game but snatched from Colliers in the dying seconds with a goal by Tomas.
MVP, Tomas Fernandez. OTT Pony, Thrill played by Greg Keyte. Yaloak Club Pony Cup which is a new much sought after cup awarded to China, owned by Yaloak, played by Greg. This cup was donated by Danny Wilson and Graeme Ritchie, presented by Danny. Huge thank you to Graeme and Danny. We are sure there will be some amazing ponies added to this cup in the years to come.
